LABUAN BAJO – Labuan Bajo, the capital of West Manggarai Regency (Mabar) is now prone to flooding. The super premium city was hit by flooding when it rained on Wednesday (12/02/2025).
Journalpost.id monitoring shows that several spots are prone to flooding. These include Kampung Tengah, Labuan Bajo Village and along Jalan Pede Beach, Gorontalo Village.
As a result of the flood, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled drivers had difficulty passing. It was even seen that some two-wheeled riders chose to use the sidewalk.
It is (well) known that Kampung Tengah is the busy center of Labuan city. There are culinary delights, travel services, restaurants and accommodation or hotels.
This is what makes this place always filled with tourists. Meanwhile, the Pede Beach road is the road to the Golo Mori tourist area.
Previously, on January 20 2025, heavy rain fell on Labuan Bajo for approximately three hours, resulting in a number of areas being flooded. Local residents also felt the impact quite seriously.
Some of the areas affected include Cowang Ndereng (Watu Cermi Village), Jalan Lamtoro towards Komodo International Airport, Kampung Ujung, Kampung Tengah, Kampung Air (Labuan Bajo Village), as well as along Jalan Pantai Pede (Village Gorontalo) and several other roads.
